2018

The Northeast Filmmakers Lab was jam-packed with useful feedback sessions and fun networking events. The focus is on getting your project made independently. So it’s great for indie filmmakers who need some advice or encouragement at any stage of their project. – Rose Schimm (Toronto), Nikki Lix

An absolutely fulfilling and valuable experience bringing together a broad range of industry professionals and independent filmmakers creating a truly nurturing experience. I would suggest this to any filmmaker developing, in production, or looking for overall help & feedback on a project. Michael McGuirk, filmmaker  The Dildo From Nantucket

In the second year of the lab I saw a continuing commitment to supporting filmmaking projects. The mentors gave invaluable advice and I would highly recommend it to every level of creator as an invaluable resource.  Thank you Northeast Filmmakers Lab and CCCE.   – Jon Cring, filmmaker This Perfect Union

The Northeast Filmmakers Lab was a tremendously helpful and insightful experience. All the highly qualified mentors I had meeting with throughout the lab gave thorough and valuable direction on how to further my project. The panel discussions where equally high quality and gave great direction. This was an exceptional experience I highly recommend. – Susan Robbins, filmmaker Voodoo MacBeth

What a great line up of panels and one-on-one mentorships with serious professionals in the industry. You feel supported, encouraged, and well taken care of throughout. It’s like a productive vacation to remind you why you love film and specifically your film project.  – Tracy Nichole Cring, mentor

2017

The industry talks were in depth, honest and informative. The weekend was capped off with a screening of shorts in a fantastic setting that allowed time for question and answer with a supportive and inquisitive audience … the travel stipend and lodging assistance made it possible for me to travel across the country to attend.  I would recommend this film lab to anyone!  – Anthony Schubert, THE STAIN

If you want an excuse to spend four days totally immersed in all aspects of filmmaking, surrounded by a small supportive group of people who know what is happening right now in the film industry, then this is as good as it gets. – Josiah Cuneo, REMEMBERING THE FUTURE

This is a GREAT destination for filmmaker’s to bring their projects.  The lab setting is so valuable and the connections you’re able to make is not something found at most festivals (since this is a LAB!).  Unique opportunity not to be missed.  And….they help cover travel and lodging!!! … A great event run by great people.  – Brad Robinson (GHOSTS OF NEW YORK)

If you are a beginning filmmaker, or an experienced filmmaker, looking for feedback and networking, this lab is for you.  I could never have finished my film, “Ice Eagles,” without the knowledge that I gained from the Lab.  I will, in turn, support future Labs to allow this terrific resource to continue to flourish. – Tom Henderson, ICE EAGLES

I took away quite a few nuggets of wisdom,  that I will use in my business and my future films. – Michael Turner, STOP THE STIGMA
